Why is Sarah Palin so confused about "Death Panels"?
Now that End-of-Life Counseling is back in the headlines, can we go back to pointing out how Sarah Palin has handled this subject thus far... during the Presidential Election, Sarah Palin went on Facebook and wrote a long rant about how a healthcare that includes funding for End-of-Life Counseling for the elderly... Less than one year before this Facebook rant by Palin, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin went on statewide television and radio to promote Alaskan Healthcare Decisions Day, a day set aside to remind elderly Alaskan to seek doctors to discuss end-of-life counseling!! did she not remember this?? or did it just fit her new agenda? http://punchumgum.wordpress.com/2009/08/14/sarah-palin-created-alaskas-own-death-panel-in-2008/ The current End-of-Life Counseling proposal simply allows elderly people to have the OPTION to meet with a DOCTOR, for FREE, to discuss what end-of-life PREFERENCES that person has (i.e., do they want the plug pulled, etc.).. and this policy was already funded and implemented by Bush at one time, without any objections from Republicans at the time.. are ALL Republicans as confused about "Death Panels" as Sarah Palin is?
